Halfbrick announces “Colossatron: Massive World Threat”

Hot off the presses! Halfbrick have something new to show us all!

If you’ve played Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride or Fish out of Water, you know Halfbrick. Coming out of Brisbane, they’ve made some of the most critically well received mobile games in the past few years and at PAX, they announced their new game “Colossatron: Massive World Threat”

Colossatron is “the story of the biggest and most powerful being to ever wage war against mankind”. The game is loaded with an art style reminiscent of the most insane and crazy animes and cartoons of the 80s. But here’s the twist, you aren’t the one trying to defend the world against the Colossatron, no John…YOU ARE THE COLOSSATRON! The giant robotoic snake from outer space, crash lands on Earth, ready to cause chaos and destruction in it’s wake.  As you play, you shape and build the Colossatron to destroy the world even more!

But you can’t just play the game and not expect a challenge right? That’s where General Moustache comes in. Under his command, he leads armies to fight you and stop you in your wake. You fight back by expanding your Colossatron with red, blue and yellow powernodes. These powernodes hold different abilities and with the chance to swap, change and experiment, you can build and create your perfect strategy and weapon!

The key to victory? Massive damage! Reminiscent of Burnout’s Crash Mode, the more havoc you wreak, the more damage caused and the more dollars you’ll rack up! With more info being revealed soon about the social aspects, we can expect to  be able to compare and compete against friend or foe for supremacy!

Colossatron: Massive World Threat is being called by Halfbrick as “a fast, fun and non-stop action combined with signature Halfbrick design innovation and polish to make it something truly special”. Right now we have no solid release date or more information, but expect more to be shown in the coming weeks!
